What "verified neighbor" actually means

Every RentiGo profile is tied to a real flat number in a specific housing society — not a phone number floating in a city-wide app. That's the baseline: you're not lending something to a stranger from across town, you're lending it to your neighbor.

"Verified neighbor" builds on top of that. It's not an ID-document check — it's a status that comes from actually being known: consistent activity, completed bookings, and reviews from other people in the same society. It's closer to how trust already works in a housing society than to a formal KYC process.

This is deliberate. A drone or a car rented to a stranger across a city needs a heavier verification model. A hedge trimmer lent to the family next door, where the security guard already knows both households by name, doesn't — and pretending otherwise would just add friction without adding real safety.
