Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email, flat number, and society name during registration. When you list or borrow an item, we store transaction details, booking histories, and uploaded photos. We collect payment-related information through Razorpay — we never store raw card numbers. We also collect limited usage data (pages visited, feature usage) to improve the platform.
How we use your information
Your information is used to: verify your flat and identity, facilitate listings and bookings, process payments and deposits via Razorpay, send booking notifications and chat messages, show your public profile to neighbors in your society, and improve platform features. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Sharing with third parties
We share limited data with: Razorpay (payment processing), Supabase (secure database and authentication infrastructure), and your neighbors within your registered society (your name, flat number, and rating are visible to society members). We do not share your phone number, email, or full address with other users.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and compliance purposes. You may request account deletion at any time by emailing support@rentigo.app — we'll delete your profile and listings within 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, object to processing, and download a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@rentigo.app. We respond within 14 days.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We use analytics cookies (opt-in only) to understand how the platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences in your account settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3. Our database (Supabase) uses Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We conduct security reviews quarterly and promptly address any vulnerabilities.
