Acceptance of terms
By creating an account on RentiGo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the platform. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a RentiGo account. You must be a resident of a verified housing society with a legitimate flat number. You may only create one account per person. Accounts created with false information will be permanently banned.
Listings
By listing an item, you confirm that you own it or have legal authority to lend it. You are responsible for accurate descriptions, honest pricing, and timely responses to booking requests. RentiGo reserves the right to remove listings that violate community standards, are misrepresented, or are reported by multiple users.
Bookings and payments
All payments are processed by Razorpay under their terms of service. Rental fees are non-refundable after the agreed pickup time unless the item was significantly misrepresented. Deposits are held by Razorpay and released to the borrower upon the owner's confirmation of item return in good condition.
Item care and damage
Borrowers are responsible for returning items in the same condition as received. Damage beyond normal wear must be compensated. The deposit covers up to its stated amount; damage exceeding the deposit may result in a dispute resolution process. RentiGo is not an insurer and does not guarantee coverage of all damage claims.
Prohibited uses
You may not: use RentiGo for commercial rental operations, list items you do not own, create fake reviews, circumvent the payment system by transacting outside RentiGo, harass or threaten other users, or use the platform in any manner that violates applicable law.
Dispute resolution
RentiGo offers a mediation service for disputes between borrowers and lenders. Contact support@rentigo.app within 24 hours of a disputed return. We will attempt to mediate in good faith. Unresolved disputes are subject to arbitration in Bengaluru under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Limitation of liability
RentiGo is a marketplace platform — we are not a party to rental agreements between users. We are not liable for item damage, personal injury, loss, or disputes arising from rentals. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the transaction value of the booking in question.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you via email or in-app notification before significant changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
